The PI System had its implementation in Comgás for different reasons. Among them is the company’s asset organization necessity and relationship with the respective field information, integration necessity between SAP and the data source, decentralized information that caused difficulties in analyzes, large amount of time spent to unify information from different sources in the reports, error susceptibility when copying and pasting information, elevate amount of Excel reports, text files utilized as history and reports that took too much time to be made. With the data centralization in the PI System, new reports for analysis were created, searching information directly from PI. These reports are available in the web, for data consulting in PI. Thereby, the control room analysts utilize their time for analyzes, they do not spent time centralizing and organizing information anymore.
