Syngenta’s Enogen® business has only been using the OSIsoft PI system for less than 2 years but has already made it a core and integral part of the strategy for rapidly growing this new, but critically important Syngenta business. The presentation will review the transformational journey that the Enogen team has taken which has involved the use of many of the newest OSIsoft PI and Microsoft technologies, including Windows Azure, Asset Framework and Event Frames. Syngenta recently also embarked on a new license agreement to provide Connected Services to stakeholder plants. This allows the Enogen team to leverage the PI work originally being done for internal use with the plants that provide the data and to share the managed information using the PI suite of analytic, reporting and visualization tools. The Connected Services approach is currently being piloted at a key ethanol plant stakeholder.
Mark Sather brings experience based in Business Process Management, Project Management and Production Agriculture to his role as Project Lead for the Syngenta Enogen® Program.
He is responsible for defining and implementing effective business processes to ensure the success of a very aggressive business plan by working with all of the Enogen teams to drive collaboration, best practices and measurement of key performance indicators.
He is also responsible for defining and implementing systems that support the Enogen program. This involves: 1) serving as the Business Owner for a web based Enogen contracting and stewardship tool; 2) strategic direction and implementation of PI for data collection, analysis and visualization; 3) implementation and administration of SalesForce.com as a team collaboration and account management tool.
These efforts require listening to key program needs and then identifying and driving processes and tools that support the success of the Enogen program.
