ProTRAQ Vendor-Managed Inventory: Now The World Leader!
Over the last year, the OSIsoft ProTRAQ Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) business has been transitioned to Industrial Evolution for web-based delivery to OSIsoft customers. Now, the introduction of mini-PC’s with full PI Systems for field-based data collection and a partnership with ChemLogix, a leading provider of VMI solutions, has propelled ProTRAQ to the world’s #1 VMI inventory management service. This presentation reviews a step-by-step approach to inventory management, including: benefits identification and value definition, sensor selection and installation, data collection and centralization, real-time web access and data transfer, and ERP integration.
Roland Heersink is the CEO and co-founder of Industrial Evolution. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, and a Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science from the California Institute of Technology. His early career was with Nova Chemicals and Amoco Oil (now BP), followed by a range of technical and management positions at Profimatics and then Honeywell.
Sullivan is the Director of Sales for Inventory Monitoring Services at ChemLogix. He graduated from Indiana University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Public and Environmental Affairs. The first ten years of his working career was with Ashland in both their Chemicals and Valvoline Oil divisions, followed by several years at GATX, where he was the Business Development Manager for Liquid Logistics. He then moved with the separation of Inventory Management business from GATX into ChemLogix.
