ProcessTemplates for Power Generators, ISOs, Paper and Batch
Almost every process has repeatable time segments or events, no matter what is produced. What if you could use the information from this repetition to create a template that would help you improve process consistency? PI ProcessTemplates from OSIsoft gives you that ability. Building on the foundation of PI Batch, ProcessTemplates identifies process events and measures their repeatability, providing an easy way to improve consistency. It measures key performance indicators over repeatable time segments and uses this information to create templates of expected behavior. Turbine Startups, Temperature Profiles during a "Heat Phase" and Paper Reel Turn-Ups are other examples of uses for ProcessTemplates. Independent System Operators can use ProcessTemplate Monitor to check the performance of their suppliers. Generators can use ProcessTemplates to determine realtime capacity to buy or sell on the spot-market. ProcessTemplates stores and maintains these templates and their hierarchies in the PI Module Database. The Module Database is a component of the PI System that helps you classify and organize your operational data. You can also preserve related information, properties and the context of each template.
