Michael Jakob is the Director of Customer Advisory Services (CAS), EMEA. He joined OSIsoft in 1992. Over the years, Michael has had responsibilities in many different roles, including PI System product installation, migration, technical support, sales support, coaching, training, and the IT support/management in the European team. In later years he managed Field Service (FS), Customer Support (CS), System Engineering (SE), Enterprise Program Managers (EPM), and Center of Excellence (CoE) teams in EMEA. Michael has an engineering degree in Informatics and started his career in VEB Mikroelektronik Karl Marx Erfurt, a semiconductor company, where he worked for more than 10 years. He maintained process computer infrastructure and developed software.
Iain Boba is currently the Smart Metering Applications Development Team Lead at BG. Boba is an SAP interfaces specialist with 20 years’ experience designing, developing and supporting interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems for multinational companies across a variety of industry sectors including Logistics, Oil and Utilities. Since July 2011, Boba has been part of BG division owner Centrica's Smart Metering project, leading a team of analysts and developers on Smart Metering projects using SAP IS-U and OSIsoft MDUS, aiming to ensure that as the number of installed Smart Meters increases, so too does the stability and scalability of the Smart Metering landscape.Since July 2011, I have been part of Centrica's Smart Metering project, leading a team analysts & developers on Smart Metering projects using SAP IS-U and OSIsoft's MDUS.
