The search for technology innovation is always needed, as it dynamically contributes to the efficiency of the industrial process.
When it comes to modernization and competitiveness in the mining industry, structure, organization, standardization of data and information delivery are key strategies for improving productivity, quality and profit.
This presentation focuses on integrating the operational computer systems and centralizing data with less maintenance costs and errors. This will also ensure reliability, ease of reference and will spread the operational information to the entire enterprise.
The proposed data centralization—with redundancy and high availability—will allow standardization of information, management of the system, and control of software licenses that allow fast search and information integration, since they will be in only one place. With redundancy implemented, if a server stops for any reason, customers will be appointed to the second server automatically and this change will be absolutely transparent.
In addition, new modules of the PI System were acquired because we needed to monitor and analyze data from the process plant more quickly and efficiently by our operators, technicians, engineers and managers—who are using new methods of calculation and new ways to present and provide information and high availability.
