Migrating a Pharmaceutical Facility to Event Frames
A member of the Roche Group, Genentech is a leading biotechnology company that discovers, develops, manufactures and commercializes medicines to treat patients with serious or life-threatening medical conditions. Genentech was initially hesitant to embrace Event Frames as a new batch technology until they assessed the cost, value, and functionality. Core users at Genentech previously spent countless hours parsing through reports to compile required compliance data, and the team developed a plan to deploy the new technology with minimal impact to system uptime, user procedures, or project budget. The PI System was updated to include the PI Server 2015 and PI Asset Framework, and the team has configured key performance indicators (KPIs) using Event Frames and reduced analysis time by 35%.
