EDC's 5Cs Digitalization Strategy with PI
Energy Development Corporation is now embarking on a PI System Digitalization Strategy to optimize their Power Plant operations and maximize their Geothermal Steamfields. They have 4 major sites in the Philippines making them the 2nd largest Geothermal Energy producing company in the world. The 4 sites make up for about 20 Turbine Units in total. What is unique is that on how they can optimize they operations as the raw material is coming from mother earth - natural steam from deep underground. Geothermal wells are now being monitored to check and do pattern recognition for well pressured prior collapsing, if no pressure from the wells, kilometers of steam fields will not be maximized by the Power plants as this is it raw material feeding the turbines. Steam Fields are being monitored not just for pressure but for its acidity, and other factors that may affect the turbine performance. as it is being unique that they have to do adjustments in real time.
