New report ranks OSIsoft #1 in IOT platforms for industrial applications
What makes an industrial IoT platform great? Is it the differentiating capabilities? The supporting partner ecosystem? The portfolio of applications that support various industrial use cases? According to the Europe 2019 PAC RADAR report from teknowlogy, it's all of those, and OSIsoft comes out on top of the competition.
Teknowlogy Group is the leading independent European research and consulting firm in the fields of digital transformation, software, and IT services. The firm conducted an in-depth analysis of leading companies in the industrial IoT platform space, looking specifically at the strategic focus, capabilities, applications, client references, and partner ecosystem of the competitors, among other factors. Contenders were then evaluated on a numerical scale, with 1 being the highest score and 5 being the lowest, through the PAC RADAR methodologies.
In looking at OSIsoft's robust install-base in the process industry, the firm's proven real-time database management capabilities, and the vast, constantly growing partner ecosystem, OSIsoft edged out competitors such as GE, Siemens, PTC, Microsoft, Adamos and SAP to receive the highest score. Receiving an overall rating of 1.58, as compared to the average of 2.24 for the companies in the IoT Platforms for Industrial Applications peer group, OSIsoft was named Best in Class (Achieving a Best in Class score required a rating of between 1 and 1.99).
“Data is at the heart of the Industrial Internet of Things and the PI System has long been the global leader in helping people get the most value out of the data from their operations,” said Wolfgang Kuchen, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at OSIsoft. “We're very gratified to see PAC RADAR underscore the importance of data governance as well as the need and commitment to build a thriving ecosystem of partners and customers to succeed.”
OSIsoft is thrilled to have been named the #1 IoT Platform for Industrial Applications in Teknowlogy's latest report.
