Utilizing the Flexibility in PI System to Incorporate ML and AI in CBM
With no room for expensive, highly specialized solutions, Eidsiva Vannkraft decided to take advantage of investments already made in infrastructure for data collection and remote operation of the power plants by using the PI System to develop a solution for online condition monitoring on top. The solution transforms the collected data, together with the inhouse expertise and knowledge, into valuable information and better insight of the plants operation and condition. This again is changing maintenance from calendar based to condition based and predictive maintenance. Machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) models are central in the CBM development process. This presentation focuses on how the flexibility provided by the PI System enables us to incorporate inhouse ML and AI models in our CBM solution and leverage the deployment process.
