DRT (Dérivés Résiniques et Terpeniques) has made the decision to implement the PI System to get better values from its assets since February 2016. Starting from scratch and using only internal ressources the project team has deployed a range of tools used on a daily basis which helps the producers, the process department and the managers to improve their global efficiency. This presentation will illustrate how an international company based in south of France has managed in 2 and a half years to successfully implement: - More than 150 process displays - Dynamic DashBoards - Quality Control Tools - OEE measurement tool
I graduated from multidisciplinary school ‘Ecole des Mines’ in 2004 and mostly worked abroad (NZ and Spain) before I joined DRT, a french leader in Green Chemistry as part of a decision to get back to school in the frame of a Continuous Improvement Master.
I had very little IT skills when I was chosen to be part of the testing phase for the PI implementation project within DRT in February 2016 but thanks to a one week coaching from OSISoft, I was able to create displays and Excel DashBoard. The testing phase quickly turned into an implementation Project from May 2016 and since then I have become the coordinator of the project.
The help of the TechSupport together with the on-line videos allowed me to become more and more efficient and creative in order to meet the needs of the production department.
Today, the PI System has been implemented on three different sites in the Landes (South West of France) and in one site in the States.
