Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy, one of the world top manufacturers of Wind Turbines and Wind Energy Solutions and one of the top contenders for its Operation & Maintenance has been making extensive use of the PI System for years. The system is perfectly integrated with all the company systems and provides different services to the company, going from the storage of the information received from the wind farms (near 3.5 million tags), to advanced data analytics and machine learning projects, passing by predefined reports and interaction with other enterprise systems, acting either as provider of data and generator of elaborated information. We’ll be showing how the system is integrated within the company and different use cases focusing on the different stakeholders for each one and how they benefit from the PI System. Remote operation centers, site supervisors, O&M personnel and engineering teams are only some of the beneficiaries, and of course, indirectly, our clients.

Juan Miguel Cortaire has been working within Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy since 2011 holding different positions as project manager and lately responsible for the PI Advanced developments. He has been involved in PI System evolution in the company since it was adopted. Before that, he worked in the aerospace industry (in Airbus group) and the automotive industry (Bosch GmbH).

Edurne Suescun has been working for Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy since 2008, initially as project manager and since 2011 as IT Project manager for enterprise systems, including PI. Recently she moved to Service BU where she is responsible for that applications.
