For water utilities, providing clean, safe drinking water is critical. However, on occasion, storm and rainfall events can cause turbidity issues affecting drinking water quality. Metro Vancouver uses the PI System and Microsoft Sharepoint to monitor water quality in near real-time in order to select reservoirs and divert water to ensure the public continues to have clean drinking water.
