The EA Extranet 2010 - Customer Communications Software
OSIsoft EA customers have access to a support channel for EA interactions. Come hear Cheryl talk about the Extranet and how the system has moved beyond a simple file share collaboration site to a tool to include views into the Managed Services Events and value of your Enterprise Agreement. The team will review the new Extranet releases and discuss the value of upcoming ideas around the extranet offering.
This session will be presented by members of the CSS Development team for the EA Extranet. It will focus on the purpose of the EA Extranet and the components of the application including:
• Collaborative Tool – overview of the kind of information that is available for the customer’s organization. This will cover items such as the Document Library, Calendar of Events, site Announcements, and Issue Identification.
• Assessment of System Health – overview of the components that are used to provide the assessment for the health of a customer’s system. This will cover the rollup of information displayed in the Region & Sites Status web part, and identification of problems at the base level as displayed on the Support page.
• Asset Identification – overview of tree view structures and display of the information. This will cover an all asset view and defining customized user views. It will also cover the reports that are currently available and the kind of information that is included in the reports.
• Application Support – overview of the level of support provided for the extranet. This will cover our team’s role in supporting the application and will address and encourage end users to provide their end user feedback in order to contribute to future enhancements to the application.

Jerry Flynn is a Sr. Software Developer from the Managed Services Team. In his role as Lead Developer for the Extranet, Jerry works with the stakeholders of the Extranet to help guide, design and build the technical aspects of the EA Extranet.
