Real Time Fuel Management System for the Ecuadorian Power System
The Ecuadorian power system includes an important component of fuel fired power stations in order to attend demand. CENACE as an ISO and electricity wholesale market is responsible of implementing SICOMB, a project that uses the PI System to process in real time all information regarding available and consumed fuel in power stations all around the country. The system objectives are to have reliable information regarding fuel inventory, power stations efficiency, consumption, and information for audit and commercial purposes.
