Microsoft Datacenter Management and OSIsoft: Laying the Foundation for Operational Intelligence Across a Global Infrastructure
This presentation will demonstrate how the PI System is being used to monitor all critical environment points within Microsoft’s data centers including power, HVAC, temperature and humidity in global data centers for the purposes of capacity planning, TCO, resource utilization efficiency and future design implications. Benefits are increasing utilization of sunk resources, providing feedback to internal customers about resource consumption (energy mgt), and executive level reporting of critical operational aspects of data center.
