Equipment Downtime Tracking
ADM Systems engineering has developed a downtime tracking and reporting system using PI-ACE and the Modular Database. The system tracks equipment downtime and assigns plant specific downtime codes. Using only several PI tags and one instance of ADM's Downtime System a PI System can track up to 999 pieces of equipment and specific information about each downtime incident. A current system running at Wabush Mines is used to monitor 30 pieces of equipment and consumes only 10 PI tags to track and report downtime information such as "Record ID", "Equipment ID", "Sub-Equipment ID", "Delay Code", "Comments", "Stop Type", "End of Downtime", "Downtime Duration", "Entry Status" and "ERP Code".
