Batch & Material Traceability Project with PI System

Can we achieve a Batch Traceability System using just our PI? The answer is yes, with proper implementation and configuration of standard PI products: PI Batch Database, PI AF and PI ACE. This presentation is rather technical, and oriented to PI System Administrators who must face such a matter and look for ideas and solutions. It will be shown which PI data objects are used and how to achieve our goals: process management, DCS connection, quality parameter calculation, and traceability. Moreover, quality parameter results are uploaded to SAP via RLINK/QM. At the time of this writing, the project is in its testing phase; the go live is expected for the end of May to the beginning of June 2005.
