Over the past two years, PolyOne Corporation (a merger of The Geon & MAHanna Companies) has completed major portions of an aggressive plan, dubbed projectOne, to move its businesses to a common business platform (SAP R/3 4.6C). Several of the implementations over the past two years (Vinyl Compound & Elastomers) have involved integration with Shop Floor systems, where RLINK was a key to our success.
The presentation will summarize these implementations, where RLINK was our integration tool, noting our design approach and some of the unique issues that we have had to address. How RLINK has "enabled" the power of our ERP investment to the benefit of the PolyOne Corporation will also be reviewed.

Roger has been in the Corporate IT department for 5 years, as a manufacturing system "advocate". He has a Chemical Engineering degree with 10+ years of experience in chemical & plastics manufacturing within the Geon & BFGoodrich companies. He is currently a member of the Manufacturing Planning & Execution team in the PolyOne IT department, which supports the SAP PP/QM modules, ShopFloor MES systems, LIMS, and interfaces between these applications.
