Indus Passport/Empac

The RLINK-PassPort interface provides a gateway for the exchange of information between the plant or production floor (PI System) and Indus International’s PassPort, an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system.

Component Summary

The RLINK-PassPort interface uses PI based equipment condition monitoring to automatically generate a scheduled PM (preventive maintenance) work order (WO) for a given asset or segment in PassPort.

• Performing condition based maintenance using actual runtime and operating parameters from the plant floor to automatically trigger equipment maintenance.
• RLINK WebParts catalog for displaying PassPort data in a SAP Portal
• RLINK ProcessBook/ActiveView addins for using ProcessBook/ActiveView to use standard .PDI files as a GUI for point and click access to PassPort data with regard to equipment usage meters and operating factors, the associated work orders and their status.

Technical Overview

The current RLINK-PassPort release supports PassPort v9 and higher.

The following are the supported features in the current release:

System Requirements

• RLINK Server: Windows 2000 or higher, RAM: 512 MB, Storage: 2-3 GB
• RLINK Client: Windows 98 or higher, Microsoft Access 2000 or higher
• Microsoft SQL Server 2000 or higher
• PI Server 3.x or higher
• PassPort v9 or higher and IndusConnect Framework (CBM Connector).

Notes

• Older PassPort releases such as PassPort8 are NOT currently supported, but it is under review.
• Please check on the CBM Connector availability for Indus EMPAC with your Indus sales representative.
