This holiday season, instead of holding company parties, OSIsoft will again donate its holiday funding to local food banks, shelters and charitable causes. In 2008, OSIsoft diverted more than $50,000 from company holiday parties to the Alameda County Community Food Bank, the Davis Street Family Resource Center and San Leandro Toys for Tots.
“There will be 20,000 more meals available in Alameda County during a time of extraordinary need,” said Alameda County Community Food Bank executive director Suzan Bateson, whose organization received a $25,000 check from OSIsoft. “A single company can accomplish so much when it diverts financial resources to immediate community needs.”
OSIsoft’s 600 employees worldwide followed the lead of the company headquarters and have donated funds and volunteered time to food banks in Seattle, Phoenix, Houston, Cleveland, Montreal, Calgary, Johnson City, Tn., Savannah, Ga., Philadelphia, Frankfurt, Mexico City, São Paulo, Singapore, and Perth.
The Company also provides matching cash donations of employee's charitable donations to non-profit organizations throughout the world.
The donation ceremony on December 18, 2008 at OSIsoft headquarters included (from left to right) Alameda County Fire Department Holiday Toy Program Coordinator, James Cobb, CEO and Founder of OSIsoft, Patrick Kennedy, Mayor of San Leandro, Tony Santos, and Alameda County Fire Department Community Outreach Coordinator, Aisha Knowles.
