The PI System is being used to track raw material usage through continuous and batch processes and distribute usage data to business systems for material consumption and production totals. For example, one company uses PI Batch to track chemical usage in each stage of a multi-stage bleaching process and then aggregate this data for the total batch. This allows them to accurately track and optimize their bleaching chemicals cost.
