The PI System can be used to monitor the loading and unloading operations at LNG terminals. A series of real-time operating displays are used to monitor the process, including plant overviews; tiered plant process schematic diagrams; equipment monitoring displays; process trend charts; and operator log sheets. Consumption analyses and optimization are run on 1) the air compressor for drying and purging, 2) fuel gas in the submerged vaporizer and 3) electric power in the seawater heater . Sensor diagnostics are also performed on the low temperature sensor in the LNG tank and the temperature sensor for the safety detection system.
