The PI System can gather and display relevant emissions data, compared to relevant targets and/or regulatory limits, and produce reports of defined intervals. A chemicals company uses the PI System to collect and store data from ambient air analyzers that monitor chemical product concentrations in their plants. When the chemical concentration exceeds an acceptable level, an alert is issued to operators. This PI System application avoids the cost of expensive proprietary user interfaces and provides a long term history of the chemical concentrations.
