The PI System is used to capture the temperature and casing pressure at the bottom of the well, along with the choke position. a more recent development is the user of fiber-optic sensors, which provide both temperature and pressure data along the entry length of a well. This data can be correlated with lift gas (steam or natural gas) injection to analyze the field configuration.
