projectOne SAP 4.6C implementations using RLINK at PolyOne

PolyOne Corporation (a merger of The Geon & MAHanna Companies) has under taken an aggressive plan, dubbed projectOne, to move its businesses to a common business platform (SAP R/3 4.6C). Several of the implementations over the past year (Vinyl Compound, Color, & Elastomers) have involved integration with Shop Floor systems. The presentation will provide a look at the implementations, where we have used RLINK as our integration tool, highlighting our design approach and some of the unique issues that we have had to address.

Roger has been in the Corporate IT department for 4 years, as a manufacturing system "eadvocate". He has a Chemical Engineering degree with 10 years of experience in chemical & plastics manufacturing within the Geon & BFGoodrich companies. He is currently working with the PolyOne projectOne team to upgrade to SAP 4.6C, which includes interfaces to several MES level systems.
