San Diego Gas & Electric purchased PI in April 2003. Within two years, PI has become a powerful engineering, planning, operations, maintenance, and decision support tool for SDG&E. Not only has PI interfaced with SDG&E’s electric transmission and distribution power system data, PI has also grown into the metering and substation automation arena. Even IT Monitor has helped SDG&E to monitor control system infrastructure to meet the NERC (North American Electric Reliability Council) Cyber Security Standards, NERC 1200, and CIP-002 through CIP-009 (formerly NERC 1300).
