Using PI ProcessBook for Emergency Response Data

Nuclear licensees are required to effectively monitor and respond to unexpected events. To fulfill these requirements, it is vital to have access to near real-time data for display to enhance decision making capabilities. Exelon has upgraded their processes for data access to utilize the PI System and PI ProcessBook to obtain plant data from the six plants in their Midwest Regional Operating Group into a consolidated single management location for Emergency Response. This data allows them to make decisions including event classification, protective actions and allows simple data access for entry to EP functional programs such as dose assessment.
