Using Analysis Framework for Power T&D Applications

IEC/EPRI Common Information Model (CIM/IEC 61970) to create the Analysis Framework models and one-line diagrams in PI ProcessBook. Demonstrates the SISCO’s module database technology and Analysis Framework to support the following in the AF environment: Connectivity models and visualizing one-line diagrams. Ownership overlays on the model and which equipment is operated by a given entity. Association of ratings, PI measurements, and Analysis Framework calculated values to the appropriate model elements. Composite elements such as transformers and multiple transformer windings and/or load tap changers. The ability to perform user defined analysis and CIM classes and/or entire generated models/submodels. Interpret and configure the Units of Measure based upon the CIM model. The power and flexibility to apply Analysis Framework and Module Database technology to other application domains and will conclude with an audience discussion on future use of the technology.
