Driving Six Sigma Improvement with the PI System
At Applied Extrusion Technologies (AET), OSIsoft's PI System plays a critical role in the Six Sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) process. A case study of how AET used Six Sigma principles and the PI System to develop a suite of real-time profile quality analysis applications will be presented. Emphasis will be placed on PI's ability to support each step of the improvement process to provide value now and over time.

Russell Gregg
Mr. Gregg has over 20 years of experience in the OPP film manufacturing business. He has held positions in Project, Process and Process Improvement Engineering, Engineering Management, Operations Leadership and Information Systems. He led the development of the companies ERP quality system design and implementation. He also led the implementation of PI, SAS and Gensym G2 to support analytical problem solving and real-time performance assessment. He is a Six Sigma Master Black-Belt and has been applying Six Sigma techniques for film manufacturing throughout his career.
