Smart Connectors are a new line of products designed to efficiently collect data, configuration information, and meta data from foreign systems. This talk will outline the features of Smart Connectors and the benefits they provide, including the automated population of asset data in AF 2.0. The presentation will also include a demonstration of OSIsoft’s first Smart Connector.

Rebekah Atkinson
Rebekah is the Product Manager for Interfaces and Smart Connectors, OSIsoft’s Portal products (RtWebParts and RtPM Business Package), and Facility Monitor. Previously, she spent two years managing OSIsoft’s demo center and eight years in the OSIsoft Field Service department installing and troubleshooting PI Systems around the world. Rebekah received a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University.

Julie Zeilenga
Julie has been with OSIsoft since 1991. She currently is the Software Engineering Group Leader for Interfaces. Prior to assuming this position, Julie developed and worked on a number of interfaces at OSIsoft. Julie works out of the San Leandro office. Prior to joining OSIsoft, Julie worked both as a Process Engineer and a Computer Applications Engineer for Shell Oil Company at the Deer Park Refinery in Houston, Texas. Julie obtained a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
