CIM Models, AF 2.0, and Automatic Substation One-Line Generation
This presentation will discuss and demonstrate CIM Models synchronized with PI Foundation and the ability to automatically generate PI ProcessBook and RtPortal displays of Substation One-Line graphics from that model. This is a collaborative effort from SISCO, DSS and OSIsoft to provide specific solutions to PI Transmission and Distribution customers. Learning Objective: How to leverage existing CIM model data to achieve Operational Visibility. This presentation is important because it demonstrates how to gain incremental value from your current investment in PI.

Charles Campbell
Mr. Campbell is the founder and President of Data South Systems Inc., an OSIsoft Partner that develops DCS graphics conversion utilities for ProcessBook and RtPortal. He has worked with various Process Data Historians (PI, AIM, CIM/21) and has 20 years of experience developing production information system applications. Mr. Campbell has also served as an adjunct professor at Georgia Southern University, teaching various courses such as Business Statistics, Management Accounting, and Information Systems. Mr. Campbell has a B.B.A. in Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia and an M.B.A. from Georgia Southern University.

Dr. Jun Zha
Dr. Jun Zha is the Chief Technology Officer, Energy IT Group, FibrLINK, the communication and infrastructure subsidiary of State Grid of China. Dr. Jun has over 14 years experience in the Power Industry. Dr. Jun received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Nanjing Institute of Technology, China, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University. Before joining FibrLINK, he worked as a Senior System Analyst at Valmet Automation Inc. He was the Lead System Analyst for six provincial SCADA/EMS projects and three Provincial AMR systems in China. As CTO, his current responsibility with FibrLINK is to supervise the implementation and service of PI for power plants and RtDC (Real-time Data Control) for State Grid’s next generation EMS system.
