PI-OLEDB
OLE DB is an open specification designed to build on the success of ODBC by providing an open standard for universal data access. PI OLEDB being part of the PI Data Access Pack implements this standard and allows a connection between PI and a wide range of relational database products. The presentation will give demos of plug and play integration with MS SQL Server and Oracle, e.g. how to automatically synchronize PI Batch from RDBMS batch tables. Finally a preview of the next major update will show the steps to develop a Web Service for PI OLEDB (using VS.NET and ADO.NET).
