Substation Inspection and Condition-Based Maintenance Using PI

Project summary of a recently implemented project at PSE&G for condition-based maintenance of transmission and distribution (T&D) assets. The system collects data from a variety of sources and assesses asset health based on easily-modifiable condition algorithms. Data in the PI Server is fed directly to the SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) module to feed measurement points that drive condition-based maintenance plans. This session will review the implementation and methods of integrating the various PI components including PI-UDS, Interfaces, PI Manual Logger distributed over an RF-network, PI Module, R/Link, etc.Maintenance (PM) module to feed measurement points that drive condition-based maintenance plans. This session will review the implementation and methods of integrating the various PI components including PI Archive, Interfaces, PI Manual Logger distributed over a wireless RF-network, PI Module, R/Link, etc.
