SOA, Web Services and RtWebParts Integration

Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is today’s watchword. With the acceptance of XML and its role in distributed application delivery, there has been much conversation about ways to leverage XML today. SOA has captured the attention of many IT professionals within the industry. There is a lot of buzz surrounding the acronym “SOA” (or Service Oriented Architecture) but not all of it is hype. However, as with many similar topics, there are many misconceptions of what is SOA. In this talk, John and Gregg will address SOA issues and discuss topics such as the following: Industry motivation for building an SOA, The principals behind an SOA, Key myths explained about an SOA, The role of web services within an SOA, A view of the techniques for building an SOA, OSIsoft’s SOA commitment today and for the future and A review of key issues to address when implementing an SOA
