PI Utilization on all Complex

The PI System at Ehime works in Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd. collects more than 47,000 data points through 47 interfaces. We use the PI System as a business process re-engineering tool for plant management. Many applications are proposed from plant operations staff. The PI System has had a large effect on our working style. In this presentation, I will outline the project and two applications; the monitoring system of material balances for utilities and raw materials of the whole complex in case of an emergency, and the summarizing and accounting system for data from the plant level using Excel, PI DataLink to SAP R/3 through RLINK.
