OLEDB COM Connecter

The PI Universal Data Server, in combination with the OLEDB COM Connector, allows the OSIsoft client applications such as PI ProcessBook and PI DataLink to interact with data-storage systems that support OLEDB access. The relational databases, Oracle and SQL Server, both support data access via OLEDB. The OLEDB COM Connector allows for the exchange of snapshot and archive data. These transactions are performed by issuing commands through the OLEDB Provider of the external data source. Installation and use of the OLEDB COM Connector will be discussed.
