Integration of Process Control into the Supply Chain

With the presented project we realized the integration of process control into the supply chain management process in SAP R3, using different OSI software solutions: PHD COM Connector, PI, Sigmafine and PSRLink. The integration was necessary due to the requirement to collect, reconcile and book automatically all production, consumption and stock data of the 53 production plants on the site daily. The complexity to meet this requirement is shown by the fact that before, this stocktaking was done manually and on a monthly basis. It took 3 days due to different timestamps and registration systems of the collected data and the integrated product flows.
