Do you know if your Process is Stable? Dofasco’s Advanced Monitoring Applications
Dofasco has been utilizing PI since 1994 allowing operating and technical personnel to monitor various processes and to facilitate troubleshooting of process upsets. This presentation will describe how Dofasco has derived substantial benefits from the in-house development of advanced monitoring applications utilizing PI client and server software as a component. These applications include the Caster Stable Operation Supervisor, a multivariate statistical monitoring application that provides information on the stability of the casting process, the Blast Furnace Slip Detection System, also a multivariate monitoring system, and Controller Monitoring and Assessment of Performance at Dofasco's Natural Gas Mixing Station.
