John Matranga

John Matranga is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Omicron Consulting. John joined Omicron in 1989. As CTO, John is responsible for supervising all aspects of the technical development and network projects. John has worked with OSIsoft technology for the past fifteen years and attended almost as many user conferences. During this time, John has consulted on many product designs from ProcessBook to RtWebParts. Also during this time, John worked with customers from Petrochemical, Life Sciences, Specialty Chemical, Pulp/Paper and Utilities helping them roll out PI/RtPM at an enterprise level. Before joining Omicron, John worked for IBM for seven years at The T.J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York, as an internal consultant for lab automation to the research staff. John holds a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University.
