The presentation will provide a current status of control system cyber security issues. The presentation will address recent control system cyber impacts, technology developments, and status of standards efforts including an update of the NERC Cyber Security Standard. It will also address potential cyber security considerations when utilizing the PI System.

Joe Weiss
Joe Weiss is an expert on control system cyber security. He leads a task force within IEEE, is a member of ISA, IEC TC57, WG15 on secure ICCP, CIGRE, and the NERC Critical Infrastructure Protection Advisory Group (CIPAG). He has co-authored a chapter on cyber security of substations, testified to a Congressional subcommittee, and authored more than 10 papers on this subject. He has performed numerous security assessments on SCADA and plant DCS systems. He is an ISA Fellow, a registered Professional Engineer, and a Certified Information Security Manager.
