OSIsoft and Intel are collaborating on roadmap alignment between OSIsoft’s RtPM Platform and Intel’s Itanium® platform, including coordinated development, marketing and sales efforts. This relationship will facilitate high performance, scalable “ecosystems” for the process manufacturing industries. By ecosystem, Intel means the complete platform, operating system and software support, beyond just the chip itself.

By actively participating in and leading a variety of computer standards committees, Intel leverages the technology they develop in order to enable the ecosystem of hardware, software, and operating system. It is through making the software available that the hardware really becomes relevant. A partnership with a leader on the plant floor such as OSIsoft, therefore, is an effective way to enable that vision.
