Dr. J. Patrick Kennedy, Founder and CEO

Dr. J. Patrick Kennedy is the CEO and majority owner of OSIsoft. Under Dr. Kennedy's visionary leadership, the company has grown from a small software startup in 1980 to a highly profitable $125+ million per year global corporation. Prior to founding the company, Dr. Kennedy worked as a research engineer for Shell Development Company and as an applications consultant for Taylor Instrument Company.

Dr. Kennedy attended the University of Kansas where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering. A registered professional engineer in control systems engineering, he holds a patent on a catalytic reformer control system. He co-authored a chapter of the book "Planning, Scheduling and Control Integration in the Process Industries," C. Edward Bodington, ed. (McGraw-Hill Co., 1995), and is the author of numerous papers.

Bernard Morneau, President

Bernard Morneau is OSIsoft's President. Bernard is responsible for operations as well as overseeing the management team of OSIsoft. A seasoned executive with deep engineering and technological experience as well as a proven record of successful sales and general operations management, Bernard joined OSIsoft in May 2001. He served as general manager of OSIsoft Canada as well as sales executive for Eastern Canada. Prior to joining OSIsoft, Bernard was involved with the sales and distribution of OSIsoft products in Canada for seven years.

A graduate of the University of Ottawa in Chemical Engineering in 1978, Bernard has occupied diverse positions in the metallurgical, chemical and oil and gas industries in eastern Canada. In 1991, he co-founded Cogexel, which then became an OSIsoft Distributorship in Canada.

John O'Shea, Senior Vice President, Sales

John O'Shea is OSIsoft's Senior Vice President of Sales. John is responsible for all Sales Groups within OSIsoft including Regional Sales (North America, Asia Pacific, Europe, and International), Channel and Enterprise Sales, and Business Development. John brings to OSIsoft a solutions-driven approach to management. He is strategically focused, has exceptional leadership skills and is driven to improve profitability, optimize quality, all with a very high level of customer satisfaction.

A graduate of the State University of New York, John is a recognized professional in the Electric Utility Industry. John's experience prior to joining OSIsoft includes Vice President and General Manager-level positions at ABB and Bailey Network Management.

Jon Peterson, Vice President, Engineering

Jon Peterson is OSIsoft's Vice President of Engineering. Jon commenced working with OSIsoft in 1992 and prior to this role led the PI server group, demonstrating strong leadership in both the PI flagship technology and product rollouts. Jon had 9 years experience working in Process Engineering before coming to OSIsoft.

Jon earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Don Smith, Vice President, Customer Support

Don Smith is the Vice President of Customer Support. Don's role includes global coordination of all support activities as well as all aspects of support operations provided by OSIsoft, Inc. He is responsible for the areas of technical and enterprise support services including remote management, Network Operation Centre (NOC) operation, development, maintenance and integration, Field Service and the Centre of Excellence for PI best practices as well as all Training products and services.

Don joined OSIsoft as the second employee in 1981 and has participated in many aspects of the development of OSIsoft products and services throughout the company's 25 year history. He has a B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas. Prior to OSIsoft Don held positions in plant construction, operations, and software design for Alcoa Refining and Chemicals Division. His hobbies include jogging, diving, and sailing. He is known by many for using PI to manage and analyze his marine aquarium since 1996.

Ron Kolz, Vice President, Sales, Americas

Ron Kolz is Vice President of Sales, Americas for OSIsoft. He has held various positions in sales, marketing and operations at OSIsoft during the past eight years. Prior to joining OSIsoft, he worked for Ernst & Young in management consulting and Bailey Controls (now ABB).

Ron earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.

Hans Meder, Managing Director (Germany)

Hans Meder serves as Managing Director/Geschäftsführer of OSIsoft GmbH. In 1988, Oil Systems, Inc. and Hans Meder founded Oil Systems GmbH – today known as OSIsoft GmbH – a company selling OSIsoft products and servicing OSIsoft customers mainly in Europe.

After passing his Diploma, Hans Meder worked for Samson as a specialist for flow measurement with worldwide responsibilities. He then decided to pursue other opportunities and joined Taylor Instruments where he fulfilled various positions in selling instruments - DCS systems – applications for the refineries throughout Europe. The next step in Mr. Meder's career brought him to Measurex where he sold applications to the metal and energy market in Europe.

Hans Meder studied at the University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt and the Technische Universität Darmstadt.

C.S. Lui, VP Sales, Asia Pacific

C.S Lui is Vice President of Sales, Asia Pacific for OSIsoft. He has held various positions in sales at OSIsoft during the past ten years and is now is responsible for all sales and operations in Asia Pacific. His vision is to build a strong and energetic team to support and grow the business in Asia.Prior to joining OSIsoft, he worked for SIMSCI , CSE and CEI. He held various positions in these companies, such as project engineer, project leader, project manager, project consultant and senior sales manager. He was the project leader for the first Terminal Automation for a refinery in Singapore and was also the key consultant member in the first Electronic Road Pricing throughout Singapore.

C.S Lui earned his Engineering degree from Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom.

Dave Roberts, Director, Business Development

Dave Roberts joined OSIsoft as Director in May 2005. Today, as OSIsoft’s Director for Business Development, Mr. Roberts manages OSIsoft’s various vertical industries, including Power, Transmission & Distribution, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, and many other process industries. Mr. Roberts is very active in the wind industry, and works with many of the major wind and power generation companies to optimize the management of their various assets and businesses.

Prior to joining OSIsoft, Mr. Roberts worked at SeaWest WindPower. As Vice President, Project Development, he was responsible for the development of hundreds of megawatts of wind farms in the western U.S. Mr. Roberts then became Senior Vice President of Strategy and Planning, leading to the eventual sale of SeaWest to the AES Corporation in 2005. During this period, SeaWest started-up and owned Prasentia, LLC, where as President Mr. Roberts defined product and service strategies, launched the business, and conducted commercial transactions with end-use customers. Prasentia’s main business was the development and implementation of Real-Time Wind Farm Management Systems, which utilized the OSIsoft PI System platform, and included Wind Farm SCADA systems and Management/Enterprise Level systems.

Mr. Roberts earned his BA International Relations and MBA International Management from the Fischer Graduate School of International Management, MIIS, Monterey, CA.

Jesus Hernandez, Sales Manager, Europe

Jesus Hernandez is the current OSIsoft Sales Manager in Europe (OSI gmbH). He joined OSIsoft in 1997 and was the sales representative in Spain and Portugal for 9 years. Prior to joining OSIsoft, he worked for Schneider Electric.

Jesus attended the University of Salamanca (Spain) where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, specializing in Electronics, in 1994. He completed his technical studies with an Industrial M.B.A at E.O.I in Madrid (Spain) in the year 1995.

Martin Otterson, Director, Sales & Business Development - Data Center & IT Systems

Martin Otterson has more than ten years of software industry experience and success. Mr. Otterson has been at OSIsoft since 2003 where he has lead the Wiredcity business unit as the visionary for entrance of the PI system within the IT Monitoring space.

Prior to OSIsoft and Wiredcity; Mr. Otterson worked at Cisco Systems, where he was instrumental in the Cisco Systems acquisition of the Unity product line from Active Voice. Mr. Otterson began his career at Active Voice, where he provided senior leadership in the Unified Communications marketing and sales strategy drove strategic partnerships, customer acquisitions, and business development.

Edward Chung - Vice President, Information Systems and Operations

Edward Chung is responsible for developing and supporting the business and information systems and infrastructure of OSIsoft and heads the IT and Internal Development groups. Edward brings to OSIsoft 17 years of experience in software and hardware development. He is a graduate of Ohio State University in 1987 in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He obtained his Master's degree in 1991 and his PhD in 1996. He remained engaged in the academic world by occupying an assistant professor position at the Rochester Institute of Technology for five years. He is also an active member of IEEE.

Jason Scully - Vice President, Legal and General Counsel

Jason Scully has been with OSIsoft since 2002, and with help of the legal team, has been a key to supporting the growth of the company and the transformation of OSIsoft into an Enterprise driven offering. Jason received a Psychology degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993 where he graduated with honors and Phi Beta Kappa. In 1996 he received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where he graduated Cum Laude.

Bob Guilbault - Chief Financial Officer

Formerly CFO of C&H Sugar Company, Bob has manufacturing experience that closely matches that of OSIsoft customers. He has experience in accounting, finance, banking, and trading. He graduated from JL Kellogg School of Management in 1990. He is responsible for Operations, Accounting, and Human Resources. Bob's mandate is to assist the management team in the succession plan development and to oversee day to day administrative and operational matters.

Patricia Garner, Director of Channel Sales

Patricia Garner is OSIsoft's Director of Channel Sales. Patricia is responsible for managing the Channel Sales team for Original Equipment Manufactures (OEMs), Value Added Resellers (VARs), and EVA Sales. In addition, she oversees OSIsoft's System Integrator (SI) and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Programs. A seasoned sales executive with extensive process control experience and a proven record of successful sales management, Patricia joined OSIsoft in April 1996. In her ten years with OSIsoft Patricia was initially an Account Manager for the Western US, she then held a newly created position of OEM & Strategic Alliance Manager before building the current Channel Sales Team of Sales Professionals and Partner Program Managers.

Prior to joining OSIsoft, Patricia spent twenty years in process control hardware & software sales and sales management with Taylor Instrument, Combustion Engineering and ABB.
